This Egyptian Grocery Chain Feeds Regional Needs

Stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire and a truck full of fresh food, Ayman Ramadan called his colleagues to ask for advice. As a delivery driver for Kazyon, Egypt’s biggest discount grocery chain, he knew there were multiple stores throughout the greater Cairo region waiting for their orders, and someone needed to alert them to the delay. But before panic set in, something unexpected happened. “My colleagues came, stood with me, helped me fix it, and the day ended in a really positive way,” he says. “It wasn’t an issue at all. Everyone was helpful and cooperative.”
